Privacy policy

This policy explains how VAHO VAHO PTY LTD trading as Sparkling Hand Car Wash (ABN 90 658 543 152) handles your personal information, in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

What we collect

When you book, enquire or join the club, we may collect:

  • your name, mobile number and email address;
  • your vehicle details and registration;
  • booking, service and payment records; and
  • messages you send us and photos you provide for a quote.

We collect this at the point you give it to us — on the booking form, over WhatsApp or the phone, or at the counter — and only what we need to provide the service.

How we use it

  • to take and manage your booking and contact you about it;
  • to process deposits and payments;
  • to run your Sparkling Club membership, if you have one; and
  • with your separate consent, to send you occasional offers.

Marketing and consent

Marketing messages are only ever sent where you have opted in with a separate, unticked consent. Booking confirmations and “your car is ready” messages are service messages and are not marketing. You can opt out of marketing at any time by replying STOP, and we honour it across every channel immediately.

Where your information is stored and who else sees it

Our database is hosted in Australia (Sydney region). To run the business we use trusted service providers who may store or process some information overseas, primarily in the United States: email (Resend), SMS (Twilio), hosting (Netlify), error monitoring (Sentry), analytics and maps (Google), and messaging (Meta/WhatsApp). We only share what each provider needs, and we do not sell your information.

We do not take card payments on this website. You pay at the wash, or by arrangement over the phone, so we never collect or store your card details online.

Data breaches

We take reasonable steps to protect your information. If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we will respond in line with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme and notify you and the OAIC as required.

Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or to correct it, by contacting us on 0435 000 084. We will respond within a reasonable time.
